Family Yacht Charters, Done Properly

We’re a family-run sailing holiday specialist, helping families enjoy relaxed, crewed yacht charters across the Mediterranean.

Since 2014, we’ve focused on one thing: making sailing holidays easy, safe and enjoyable for families, even if it’s your first time on a yacht.

We know that travelling with children brings different questions, different priorities and different worries. Our role is to take the stress out of planning, so you can focus on spending quality time together — both on and off the water.

Our Story

24 Sailing Holiday was created from a simple idea: family holidays should feel relaxing, not stressful.

Back in 2014, we saw that many yacht charter websites were designed for experienced sailors or luxury travellers — not families. Parents were expected to understand sailing jargon, choose the right yacht, and hope it would suit their children.

We knew there had to be a better way.

So we built a business focused specifically on family-friendly sailing holidays, combining professional crewed yachts with honest advice and a personal approach. Over time, we’ve developed strong relationships with trusted charter operators across Greece, Spain, Italy and the South of France.

Today, we help families plan sailing holidays that are:

  • Safe and well-paced

  • Suitable for children of all ages

  • Relaxed, flexible and enjoyable

What hasn’t changed is how we work — we still take the time to listen, advise honestly, and help families choose what’s right for them, not just what’s available.

As part of our wider work in the yachting industry, we also own and operate 1UK.com, a long-established superyacht sales and charter platform.

At 1uk.com we are also working towards ESG and sustainability in the industry and as such we are pleased to share that our CEO Paul Thompson is the Sponsorship Director of The Full Circle project, which is a round the world challenge in 2026 to promote clean fuel with 30% less emissions and is run by limbless veterans.

Over the years, that experience has given us deep insight into how yacht charter works at every level — from large superyachts to smaller sailing yachts.

We also recognised that family sailing holidays deserve a very different approach. What works for experienced yacht owners or luxury charter clients doesn’t always work for families travelling with children.

That’s why 24 Sailing Holiday was created as a dedicated brand — focused entirely on relaxed, family-friendly sailing holidays, with clear advice, realistic expectations and a personal service.
